Past Chairman - Robert E. Bridges, RA, FHFI, SAM
Bob has 33 years of strong performance in owner representation and consulting in healthcare facility acquisition. He has extensive experience in the programming, planning, design, construction, and transition of numerous military medical and dental facilities worldwide. Prior to his retirement from the Air Force, Bob held numerous positions with the Health Facilities Division, US Air Force Surgeon General’s Office, which supports the acquisition and operational activities for a world-wide system of 230 hospitals, clinics, and healthcare research facilities. He recently served as an Associate in the Healthcare Group at RTKL Dallas.
Chairman - Robert J. Farrow, AIA, FHFI, LEED AP
Bob is Principal & Senior Vice President and Director of Healthcare, Southeast Region of HKS Architects, Atlanta, GA. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Auburn University and has 37 years experience in facility master planning, design, and construction in both the private and government arena. His design portfolio includes ambulatory care centers, community hospitals, large complex teaching hospitals and research facilities, corporate office/manufacturing facilities, and office/retail/mixed use developments.
Chairman Elect - Kurt Neubek, FAIA, FHFI, CFM,LEED-AP
Kurt is Associate Principal of Page Southerland Page, Houston, TX. He received his Master of Architecture from Arizona State University and his Bachelor of Science Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois and has been responsible for programming and planning more than six million square feet of hospital, ambulatory, psychiatric and medical office building space. He has provided pre-design services for a multitude of healthcare and educational building types worldwide and is accomplished in a wide variety of analytical, decision-making and facilitating techniques.

Joseph McBride, JD, C.H.E., EFHFI is President of McBride and Associates, providing legal and facilities consulting services to hospitals and companies for more than 30 years. Jim Newborn, MHA, EFHFI, is the President of his own consulting firm, providing a variety of consulting services to hospitals and firms for over 30 years. John Baldwin, MBA, FHFI, is a retired Senior Healthcare Executive that has provided owner services for government and private hospitals for over 35 years. He held senior positions with Jacobs Engineering, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Beers/Skanska, the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the US Air Force. E. Douglas McClain, PE, Emeritus Fellow, is the Vice President of Business Development for the Health Facility Institute. Doug has over 46 years of experience in facility programming, planning, design, construction, and project management of healthcare facilities. He is a retired Lt. Colonel, USAF Medical Service Corps and recently retired his position as Executive Vice President with PageSoutherlandPage, Austin, TX. Doug's background includes a working knowledge of the development and application of procedures and details for facility planning, the architectural and engineering design including CADD production, and the documentation and communications requirements involved in the successful acquisition of complex healthcare facilities.
